Gmail and Outlook do not trust PHP mail() from a cheap host. They trust DNS. This free SPF DKIM DMARC checker reads public records for your domain, then flags the gaps that put Contact Form 7, WPForms, and WooCommerce order emails in spam.
SPF
A TXT record that lists who may send as you. Missing SPF is the most common WordPress spam cause.
DKIM
A cryptographic signature. We probe common selectors (Google, Microsoft, SendGrid, Mailgun) used with WP Mail SMTP.
DMARC
The policy inboxes enforce. p=none only watches. Gmail bulk-sender rules expect a published DMARC record.

Why do WordPress emails go to spam?
Most sites send through PHP mail() on shared hosting. That IP has no SPF or DKIM for your domain, so Gmail treats it as spoofing. Install WP Mail SMTP (or FluentSMTP), send through Google, Microsoft 365, or a transactional API, then publish matching SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
What is the difference between SPF, DKIM, and DMARC?
SPF lists allowed sending servers. DKIM signs the message. DMARC tells the inbox what to do when those checks fail (none, quarantine, or reject). You want all three on the same domain WordPress sends From.
Does this send a test email?
No. It is a public DNS lookup. After you fix records, send a real message from the contact form to Gmail and check the original headers for spf=pass dkim=pass dmarc=pass.
